Altair is actually Italian. The assassin's creed games 1 and 2 take place in the renaissance era and the place is Florince,Italy

Lol, true number 2 takes place in Italy and Ezio is Italian but Altair was Middle Eastern, Syrian to be exact, (Jordan area, Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus, Masyaf...it's all southeast of Italy

. AC 1 took place in the Crusades of which Italy had little to nothing to do with.

Altair is a Arabic for "eagle" and his full name is Altair ibn La-Ahad (means "no one's son" in Arabic...I believe)
