Lion of Judah Leather Maskby ~Draikairion

Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

- Revelation 5:5

The lion mask that has seen me from day one of this semester until the bitter end. And now it is complete after months of picking at it slowly. YAY!

I felt the need to depict the Lion of Judah (aka. Jesus) as something definitely surreal and unearthly. I chose to depict a white lion, for strength and purity, and then give it a rainbow mane to depict power, grace, and majesty. Somewhat inspired by the rainbow lion, Grogramann, from The Neverending Story.

This guy is painted with a coat of iridescent interference paint to give it an unearthly blue shimmer. His mane is done entirely in iridescent paints.

A OOAK hand made leather mask that will not be reproduced (MIGHT be assimilated). Will be for sale on Etsy shortly.
